🧭 Lịch trình

D1
Arrival in Changsha → High-Speed Train to Zhangjiajie
You land in Changsha, where your driver will be waiting with a name sign. After an airport pickup, you will board a high-speed train to Zhangjiajie. China's trains are fast and clean. Evening highlight: Visit 72 Wonder Floors (Qishi'er Qi Lou), a local landmark. Overnight: Zhangjiajie (4 or 5-star hotel, your choice)
D2
Tianmen Mountain: Glass Walkways and Heaven's Door
Today's itinerary: Tianmen Mountain, home to some of China's most dramatic cliff-face attractions. Morning: Board the world's longest alpine cable car (28 minutes of views). You will float over valleys, forests, and villages that look like toy models from this height. Midday: Walk the Glass Skywalk, a transparent path clinging to a cliff 1,400 meters above sea level. Look down for the full experience. Your hands will sweat, your heart will race, and your photos will be impressive. Next, brave the Guigu Plank Road, a wooden walkway carved into the cliff face. It is less terrifying than the glass version but equally stunning. Afternoon: Stand before Heaven's Gate (Tianmen Cave), a natural arch in the mountain 131.5 meters high. A plane once flew through it. Climb the 999 steps to reach the gate. By step 500, you will question your life choices. By step 999, you will feel invincible. The views are worth every stair. Overnight: Zhangjiajie
D3
Zhangjiajie National Forest Park: The Original Avatar Land
Welcome to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, China's first UNESCO World Heritage forest and the visual blueprint for Avatar's alien planet Pandora. It is more impressive in person. Morning: Hike Huangshi Stronghold (Yellow Stone Village), the park's highest viewpoint (1,200 meters). The panoramic views of sandstone pillars jutting from green valleys will make you understand why ancient emperors thought mountains were sacred. Afternoon: Stroll the Golden Whip Stream, a 7.5 km valley walk along a crystal-clear creek. Monkeys might photobomb your pictures. Do not feed them or show food. Keep bags zipped. Late Afternoon: Explore Huanglong Cave, a massive karst cave system with underground rivers, waterfalls, and limestone formations that look like frozen chandeliers. It is cool (bring a light jacket), dark, and otherworldly. Overnight: Zhangjiajie
D4
Avatar's Real-Life Hallelujah Mountains
Today's itinerary focuses on the iconic landscapes. Morning: Ride the Bailong Elevator (a glass lift in a cliff). In 88 seconds, you will ascend 326 meters. Midday: Explore Yuanjiajie Scenic Area, home to the "Avatar Hallelujah Mountain" (officially renamed to honor the film after its global success). Towering stone pillars rise from misty abysses. Afternoon: Visit Tianzi Mountain, where the "Monarch of the Peaks" presides over an endless sea of stone towers. Legend says a peasant-turned-king once ruled these mountains. One look at the view, and you will understand why he stayed. Late Afternoon: Wander the Ten-Mile Natural Gallery, a valley where the rock formations resemble Chinese ink paintings. Locals claim they see animals, warriors, and emperors in the stones. You will probably just see really cool rocks, and that is enough. Overnight: Zhangjiajie
D5
World's Longest Glass Bridge → Furong Town
Today's main event is the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon Glass Bridge, the world's longest and highest glass-bottomed bridge (430 meters long, 300 meters above ground). You will walk on transparent panels while the canyon yawns beneath you. Some stride confidently, some take it slow, some hold the railing tight. Everyone finds their own pace, and everyone makes it. Morning: Cross the bridge (nickname: "Cloud Sky Walk"), then explore the Grand Canyon below via pathways and boat rides through waterfalls and rock formations. Afternoon: Travel to Furong Town (Hibiscus Town), an ancient riverside town famous for its 60-meter waterfall that crashes down the main street. The town is built on and around a waterfall. Evening: Watch the "Flowers Bloom in Prosperity" cultural performance, a blend of music, dance, and local legend that brings the town's 2,000-year history to life. Overnight: Furong Town
D6
Miao Village Drums → Fenghuang Ancient Town
Morning: Visit Merong Miao Village, where the Miao ethnic minority has been living and drumming for generations. Experience traditional drum performances, intricate silver jewelry craftsmanship, and architecture that is uniquely Miao. This is a living village where the Miao people continue their traditions daily. Afternoon: Arrive in Fenghuang Ancient Town, one of China's most beautiful historical towns. Wooden stilt houses line the Tuo River, stone streets wind through lantern-lit alleys, and everywhere you look is postcard-perfect. Evening: Experience the "Cuicui Water Wedding", a traditional Tuija minority wedding ceremony performed on the river. Think colorful boats, singing, and cultural immersion. Overnight: Fenghuang Ancient Town
D7
Fenghuang Morning → High-Speed Train to Changsha → Departure
Morning: Explore Fenghuang at your own pace. Walk across Tiaoyan (Stepping Stones) in the river, admire the ancient stilted buildings (Diaojiaolou), and cross the covered Hongqiao Wind and Rain Bridge. Sunrise in Fenghuang is magical: mist rising from the river, old women washing clothes on stone steps, and golden light painting the wooden houses. Early risers will be rewarded. Consider setting an alarm for 6:30 AM. Afternoon: High-speed train back to Changsha, where you will be transferred to the airport for your onward journey.
