Pickup at Lhasa Railway Station or Airport
Welcome to Lhasa, the holy city of the snowy plateau (altitude 3,650 meters). Our driver will meet you outside Lhasa Railway Station (Airport) and take you to the hotel for check-in. After checking in that day, it is recommended not to wash your hair or take a shower, to reduce activity, slow everything down, and relax so as to adapt to the plateau environment as quickly as possible. Lhasa Railway Station is located in the suburbs of Lhasa, about 8 kilometers from the Potala Palace. Along the way you will cross the Lhasa River, and from the vehicle you can enjoy the scenery on both banks of the Lhasa River. Lhasa Airport is located in Gonggar County of Shannan City, about 60 kilometers from downtown Lhasa, and takes about 1 hour by car. Along the way you can enjoy distinctive Tibetan villages and pastoral scenery.

Lhasa - Mira Mountain Tunnel - Sejila Pass Blessing - Tibetan Horse Riding - Gongbo Whistling Arrow Shooting - Lulang Town - Nyingchi
Today you will depart from Lhasa for Nyingchi. Along the way, you will pass through the [Mila Mountain Tunnel]. Mila Mountain is the boundary mountain between Lhasa and Nyingchi (Central Tibet and East Tibet). The Mila Pass sits at an altitude of 5,013 meters, where snow falls year-round. The Mila Mountain Tunnel running through this mountain began operation in 2019 and is the world's highest-altitude extra-long highway tunnel, as well as a beautiful sight along the Lhasa-Nyingchi Expressway. Afterwards, you will cross the Sejila Pass at an altitude of 4,702 meters, where you can gaze at Namcha Barwa, the crown of China's ten most beautiful mountains, and ring a bell to make a wish. Then you will continue onward and arrive at Lulang, where you can experience [Tibetan horseback riding and Gongbo arrow shooting]. Under blue skies and white clouds, with green grass like a carpet and wildflowers everywhere, horses play leisurely by the stream while yaks sway their massive bodies alongside the fresh grass. You can ride a plateau steed and gallop freely, or experience the distinctive folk custom of the Gongbo people by shooting whistling arrows. Finally, you will return to Nyingchi, where dinner will feature a local Nyingchi specialty — Lulang Stone Pot Chicken. Stone Pot Chicken is Lulang's signature and most famous dish. The stone pot used to cook Lulang Stone Pot Chicken is carved by locals from a single block of stone. The dish uses local free-range chicken, added with some Tibetan medicine and hand-shaped ginseng, and is extremely delicious.

Nyingchi - Yarlung Tsangpo Grand Canyon - Yani Wetland Park - Nyingchi
Today you will explore the Nyingchi area, first visiting the Yarlung Tsangpo Grand Canyon. The Yarlung Tsangpo Grand Canyon is the deepest canyon on Earth, hailed as "humanity's last secret realm." You can follow the scenic area shuttle to visit the Daduka Ancient Fortress ruins, marvel at the magical power of love at "Qingbi Shijian," where you can close your eyes, join your palms, make a wish, or place a small mani stone to pray for your wish. Or listen to the roaring symphony of the Yarlung Tsangpo Canyon at the water platform, and view the magnificent scenery between villages on both banks of the canyon from the viewing platform. Afterwards, you will visit Yani Wetland Park. Yani Wetland Park (formerly the Benri Sacred Mountain Scenic Area) is a sacred mountain of Tibet's indigenous Bon religion. This mountain is one of the important sacred mountains worshipped by Bon followers, who place all their hopes for happiness in this life and liberation in the next upon Mount Benri. To eliminate sins and various illnesses, they circumambulate the mountain on schedule every year. In addition, Yani Wetland Park is the confluence of the Yarlung Tsangpo River and the Nyang River. The scenery here could only be created by nature's skillful hand: the elegant gentle flow of the Nyang River is carried along by the surging Yarlung Tsangpo River into the Indian Ocean, with the boundary at the confluence clearly visible. After the visit, you will return to Nyingchi.

Nyingchi - Gongbo Characteristic Village - Peach Blossom Village - Lhasa
Today you will first visit [Gongbo Characteristic Village], where Tibetan-style houses are arranged in picturesque disorder and the small courtyards of Tibetan families are filled with the fragrance of flowers. The village, together with the green mountains and clear waters and the blue sky and white clouds, forms a delightful watercolor painting. Here you can listen to Tibetan family stories, enjoy Tibetan dance, view houses with distinctive Tibetan features, and experience the local customs. Afterward, you will go to [Gala Peach Blossom Village] for sightseeing. Around mid-March each year, when Nyingchi, Tibet, still retains a lingering chill, peach blossoms bloom fully under the caress of the spring breeze, and the delicate blossoms appear especially charming beneath the snow-capped mountains. Unlike other places, the peach trees here are tall and sturdy, comparable in grandeur to plane trees. Even though they are peach trees, the trees in Tibetan areas still display their rugged character. The peach blossoms are relatively small but densely clustered, giving the impression of thousands upon thousands at a glance. This is also the main venue for the opening ceremony of Nyingchi, Tibet's annual Peach Blossom Festival. Whenever the peach blossoms are in full bloom, the beautiful Gala village is wrapped in wild peach blossoms. The peach trees in the village are all wild peach trees, and many are so large that it takes two or three people to encircle them. Therefore, people call it Nyingchi's 'First Peach Blossom Tree'.

Lhasa - Bodhi Garden - Yuewang Tibetan Medicine - Yarlung Tsangpo River Scenery - Yamdrok Lake - Holy Lake Photo Shoot - Lhasa
Today you will visit [Putiyuan] to learn about the mysterious craftsmanship of Tibet and get to know the local customs and culture. Afterwards, you will visit the Tibetan Culture Exhibition Hall - [Yuewang Tibetan Medicine], to learn about the development of Tibet's magical Tibetan medical techniques at that time, as well as the contribution of sky burial to Tibetan medicine. Afterwards, you will head to Yamdrok Lake, one of the three great sacred lakes of Tibet. [Yamdrok Lake], abbreviated as Yang Lake, has a surface elevation of 4,441 meters. The water of Yang Lake is as clear as mutton fat, sweet, and drinkable. The azure lake water merges with the distant snow mountains, along with the colorful mountain ranges on both banks, distinctive Tibetan villages, and herds of cattle and sheep everywhere. Along the way, it is truly refreshing and delightful. While enjoying the beautiful scenery of Yang Lake, you can also experience a sacred lake travel photography session, capturing the beauty and happiness of this moment, freezing the exquisite moments, so that when you look back years later, happiness will still surge in your heart. Lhasa - Potala Palace - Chakpori - Zongjiao Lukang - Jokhang Temple Square - Lhasa
Today you will tour within Lhasa, visiting the world's highest ancient palace-fortress architectural complex, the [Potala Palace]. Climb up the long staircase step by step, overlooking Lhasa as you go, taking in the grandeur of the city at a glance. Take photos and rest along the way, then step inside the Potala Palace to explore this mysterious ancient palace that is rarely shown in photos online. Afterwards, you can go to the kora circuit in [Zongjiao Lukang Park] to experience walking the kora. In Zongjiao Lukang Park, you can see devout pilgrims everywhere, gently spinning their prayer wheels, sliding their shiny prayer beads, and murmuring prayers. You can also go to the [Chakpori Hill] viewing platform to photograph the Potala Palace. Chakpori Hill stands right opposite the Potala Palace and is the best spot for photographing the palace, especially halfway up the hill — this is also the location featured on the 50-yuan banknote. Afterwards, you will visit the [Site of the Qing Dynasty Amban Office]. The traditional Tibetan courtyard where the exhibition hall is located is called "Chongsaikang Zhakang," a three-story Tibetan-style building complex located on the north street of Barkhor Street in the old city of Lhasa, in the central area of Lhasa's old town, with a history of over 300 years. The Qing government once established its first Amban office here, used for the Amban's work and residence. Because the Amban could enjoy a close view of the bustling Barkhor Street from the windows of the south building of the courtyard, this place was called "Chongsaikang," meaning "the house from which one can see the market." Afterwards, you will arrive at Jokhang Temple Square. [Jokhang Temple Square] is the final destination of many pilgrims. For hundreds of years, pilgrims have traveled great distances to come here, prostrating every three steps and measuring the distance from their hometowns with their bodies. Jokhang Temple Square is shrouded in incense smoke all day long, and devout worshippers have left deep imprints of full-body prostrations. Regarding faith, this place will give you the most perfect explanation. If one day you lose yourself, please come sit and look around Jokhang Temple Square — regarding faith, it will give you the answer... The temple on the square is the central temple of Tibetan Buddhism — Jokhang Temple (you may purchase tickets to enter and visit according to your own circumstances, at your own expense).

To its south lies the year-round snow-capped Nyainqentanglha Mountains, while plateaus and hills lie to its north and west. The vast lakeshore is surrounded by grasslands with lush water plants; the lake water has a high salt content, and the basin is rich in wildlife, including yaks and goats; the lake abounds with wildfowl and produces fine-scaled and scaleless fish; the clear lake water mirrors the surrounding snow mountains, creating a beautiful scene. Namtso is like a sparkling pearl inlaid on the vast Qiangtang Grassland. After the visit, you will return to Lhasa along the same route. Tip: The drive today is long and tiring, so you need to get up early. The Northern Tibet region is at a relatively high altitude, so please bring a thick coat, apply sunscreen, and bring sunglasses and a hat.
