Welcome to the holy city of Lhasa on the snowy plateau (elevation 3,650 meters). Our driver will meet you outside Lhasa Railway Station (Airport) and take you to the hotel for check-in. After checking in on the same day, it is recommended not to wash your hair or take a shower, reduce activities, slow everything down, and relax to adapt to the plateau environment as soon as possible. Lhasa Railway Station is located in the suburbs of Lhasa, about 8 kilometers from the Potala Palace. Along the way, you will cross the Lhasa River, and you can enjoy the scenery on both banks of the Lhasa River from the car. Lhasa Airport is located in Gonggar County, Shannan City, about 60 kilometers from downtown Lhasa, and takes about 1 hour by car. Along the way, you can enjoy the unique Tibetan villages and pastoral scenery.

Today you will depart from Lhasa for Nyingchi. Along the way, you will pass through the Mila Mountain Tunnel. Mila Mountain is the boundary mountain between Lhasa and Nyingchi (Central Tibet and East Tibet), with the Mila Pass sitting at an elevation of 5,013 meters. Snow falls here year-round. The Mila Mountain Tunnel, which runs through this mountain, opened in 2019 and is the world's highest-altitude long highway tunnel, as well as a beautiful sight along the Lhasa-Nyingchi Expressway. Afterwards, you will cross the Sejila Pass at 4,702 meters, where you can gaze at Namcha Barwa, the crown among China's ten most beautiful mountains, and ring a bell to make a wish. Then you will continue on to Lulang, where you can experience Tibetan horseback riding and the Gongbo arrow-shooting tradition. Under blue skies and white clouds, with green grass like a carpet and wildflowers everywhere, horses play leisurely by the stream while yaks sway their massive bodies alongside the fresh grass. You can ride a plateau steed and gallop freely, or experience the distinctive folk custom of the Gongbo people by shooting whistling arrows. Finally, you will return to Nyingchi, where dinner will feature a local specialty — Lulang Stone Pot Chicken. Stone Pot Chicken is Lulang's signature dish and is very famous. The stone pot used to cook Lulang Stone Pot Chicken is carved by locals from a single block of stone. The dish uses local free-range chicken, added with some Tibetan medicines and hand-shaped ginseng, and has a very delicious flavor.

Today you will tour the Nyingchi area. First, go to visit the Yarlung Tsangpo Grand Canyon. The Yarlung Tsangpo Grand Canyon is the deepest canyon on Earth and is hailed as "humanity's last secret realm." You can follow the scenic area shuttle bus to visit the Daduka Ancient Fort Ruins, marvel at the magical power of love at "Love Stronger Than Stone," and you can close your eyes and join your palms here to make a wish or place a small mani stone to pray for your wishes. Or listen to the roaring movement of the Yajiang Canyon at the water platform and view the magnificent scenery between villages on both sides of the canyon from the viewing platform. Afterward, you will go to visit Yani Wetland Park. Yani Wetland Park (formerly Benri Sacred Mountain Scenic Area) is a sacred mountain of Tibet's native Bon religion. This mountain is one of the important sacred mountains worshipped by Bon followers. Followers place all their hopes for happiness in this life and liberation in the next on Benri Sacred Mountain. To eliminate sins and various illnesses, they circumambulate the mountain on time every year. In addition, Yani Wetland Park is also the confluence of the Yarlung Tsangpo River and the Nyang River. The scenery here could only be created by nature's skillful hand: the elegant trickle of the Nyang River is carried into the Indian Ocean by the surging Yarlung Tsangpo River, and the boundary at the confluence is clearly visible. After visiting, you will return to Nyingchi.

Today, you will first visit a Gongbo Characteristic Village. The Tibetan-style village is well-arranged, with fragrant flowers in the Tibetan courtyards. The village, together with the green mountains, clear waters, blue sky, and white clouds, forms a delightful watercolor painting. Here you can listen to Tibetan family stories, enjoy Tibetan dances, view houses with distinctive Tibetan features, and experience the local customs. Afterwards, you will visit Gala Peach Blossom Village. Around mid-March each year, when Nyingchi, Tibet, still has a lingering chill, peach blossoms bloom fully under the caress of the spring breeze. The delicate peach blossoms look especially charming against the snow-capped mountains. Unlike other places, the peach trees here are tall and sturdy, comparable in grandeur to plane trees. Even in the Tibetan region, the trees do not forget to show their ruggedness. The peach blossoms are relatively small but densely clustered, giving the impression of thousands upon thousands at a glance. This is also the main venue for the annual Nyingchi Peach Blossom Festival. When the peach blossoms bloom, the beautiful Gala village is surrounded by wild peach blossoms. The peach trees in the village are all wild peach trees, many of which require two or three people to encircle. Therefore, it is called Nyingchi's "First Peach Tree."

Today you will visit [Putiyuan] to learn about the mysterious craftsmanship of Tibet and understand its customs. Then visit the Tibetan culture exhibition hall - [Yuewang Tibetan Medicine], to learn about the development of Tibet's magical Tibetan medical techniques at the time, and the contribution of sky burial to Tibetan medicine. Afterwards, you will visit Yamdrok Lake, one of the three sacred lakes in Tibet. [Yamdrok Lake], abbreviated as Yamdrok, has a lake surface elevation of 4,441 meters. The lake water is as clear as mutton fat, sweet, and drinkable. The azure lake water merges with the distant snow mountains, along with the colorful mountains on both sides, distinctive Tibetan villages, and cattle and sheep everywhere, making the journey refreshing. While enjoying the beautiful scenery of Yamdrok Lake, you can also experience a sacred lake photo shoot, recording the beauty and happiness of the moment, capturing exquisite moments, so that when you look back years later, happiness still surges in your heart. Today you will explore Lhasa. Visit the Potala Palace, the world's highest ancient palace-fortress complex. Climb the long staircase step by step, overlooking Lhasa as you go, taking in the grandeur of the city. Pause for photos and rest along the way, then step inside the Potala Palace to explore this mysterious ancient palace that is rarely shown in online images. Afterwards, you can visit the kora (circumambulation) path in Zongjiao Lukang Park to experience prayer-wheel spinning. In the park, you will see devotees everywhere, gently twirling their prayer wheels, sliding their polished prayer beads, and murmuring mantras. You can also go to the Chakpori Hill viewpoint to photograph the Potala Palace. Chakpori Hill stands right opposite the Potala Palace and is the best spot for photographing it, especially halfway up the hill — this is also the location featured on the 50-yuan banknote. Next, you will visit the Site of the Qing Dynasty Amban's Office. The traditional Tibetan-style compound where the exhibition hall is located is called "Chongsaikang Zhakang," a three-story Tibetan-style courtyard building on the north street of Barkhor Street in the old city of Lhasa, in the heart of the old town, with a history of over 300 years. The Qing government once established its first Amban office here, where the Amban worked and lived. Because the Amban could enjoy a close view of the bustling Barkhor Street from the windows of the south building, this place was called "Chongsaikang," meaning "the house from which one can see the market." Afterwards, you will arrive at Barkhor Square, the destination of countless pilgrims. For centuries, devotees have traveled great distances to come here, measuring the distance from their homeland with their bodies, prostrating every three steps. Barkhor Square is shrouded in incense smoke all day long, and devout worshippers have left deep imprints of full-body prostrations. Here, you will find the most perfect explanation of faith. If one day you lose yourself, come sit at Barkhor Square and look around — it will give you the answer about faith... The temple on the square is the Jokhang Temple, the central temple of Tibetan Buddhism (you may purchase a ticket to enter at your own discretion; the cost is at your own expense).
