Then you will take a winding mountain road over the 4,990-meter Gambala Snow Mountain and visit Yamdrok Lake, the highest freshwater lake in the world. 【Yamdrok Lake】, or Yang Lake for short, means "Lake of Swans" in Tibetan. At an elevation of 4,441 meters, it is one of the three sacred lakes of Tibet. Yamdrok Lake has many branching inlets, like coral branches, and its beauty is unmatched in southern Tibet. The clear lake water, towering snow mountains, and washed-blue sky merge into one, and the picturesque scenery makes people linger. Yamdrok Lake has multiple viewing platforms, allowing you to admire its beauty from various angles.
After visiting Yamdrok Lake, you will drive back to Lhasa to visit the Zangcao Yisheng Industrial Park or Ganlu. At 【Zangcao Yisheng Industrial Park】, you can visit the cordyceps biological fermentation workshop and experience the collision between Tibetan tradition and technology.
