🧭 Itinerary

D1
Lhasa - Qushui - Gambala Snow Mountain - Yamdrok Lake - Gyantse - Shigatse
In the morning, you will drive from Lhasa, take National Highway 318 and then branch off at the bridge, traveling all the way amid the scenery of the Yarlung Tsangpo River to Gambala Pass (4,990 meters). This is the perfect place to overlook 【Yamdrok Lake】 (4,441 meters), one of the "Three Great Sacred Lakes of Tibet." From the Tibetan-style viewing platform with fluttering colorful prayer flags and a huge mani pile, you can gaze at the clear and calm lake surface under the sunlight shifting through varying shades of light blue, deep blue, and sky blue, reflecting the washed-blue sky and the towering snow mountains in the distance - an ultimate beauty unrivaled in southern Tibet. If you are lucky, you may even see a wonder of dark clouds on one side, a brilliant rainbow on another, and boundless sunset glow elsewhere. After lunch in Nagarze, you will continue by vehicle to visit 【Karo La Glacier】 (5,000 meters). The glacier standing beside the road is like a giant thangka hanging on the mountain wall, crystal clear and pure white, so close it seems you could touch it. Then continue to the ancient town of Gyantse, a heroic town of anti-British resistance. This ancient town with more than 600 years of history was also a key transportation hub from Front Tibet to Rear Tibet. View the Gyantse Dzong anti-British site from afar, and visit 【Pelkor Chode Monastery】, the only site in Tibet combining the three major sects, with stunning murals and carvings and the Hundred Thousand Buddha Stupa. Finally, arrive in Shigatse, the capital of Rear Tibet, and check in.
🍽️ Breakfast not included, lunch included, dinner included 🏨 Shigatse

Shigatse - Qilin Gorge - Tingri - Mount Everest Base Camp
In the early morning, depart from Shigatse for Everest Base Camp. First you will visit the 【Qilin Gorge】 canyon scenic area. The canyon is about 200 meters deep and is a peculiar karst landform formed over tens of millions of years by the scouring and cutting of glacial meltwater. It is a canyon stone forest landform about 15 kilometers long, 500 meters wide and about 200 meters deep. Its uniqueness lies in the fact that the originally flat ground suddenly fractured, and within the huge trench are towering sand and earth pillars standing like a forest, arranged in groups and in a thousand postures, spectacular and magnificent. After the visit, head via Tingri to Everest Base Camp, passing through 【Gyawu La Pass】, where you can see the spectacular scene of four snow mountains over 8,000 meters arranged in a row. From left to right, these four snow mountains are: Makalu (8,463 meters); Lhotse (8,516 meters); Mount Everest (8,848 meters); Cho Oyu (8,201 meters). Then take the eco-friendly bus to Everest Base Camp to feel the grandeur of nature. If you are lucky, you may also see the Everest banner cloud drifting like a flame of life. Overnight at Everest Base Camp, where you can come face to face with the majestic bearing of the world's highest peak - Mount Everest. Tip: The road from Shigatse to Everest is newly paved asphalt road with good conditions and some winding mountain sections, so please bring motion sickness medicine. Accommodation at Base Camp is simple, with multi-person rooms, hot water available, and no breakfast provided.
🍽️ Breakfast included, lunch included, dinner included 🏨 Everest Base Camp or Guesthouse

Mount Everest - Shigatse
In the early morning, while the peaks still slumber in the dawn, face the rising sun and look up at Mount Everest, the world's highest peak (elevation 8,844.43 meters), for a spiritual baptism. The summit snow never melts year-round, glaciers hang suspended, and silver peaks tower aloft in a holy scene. Carrying lingering memories of Everest's beauty, admire a corner of the majestic, magnificent, and endlessly stretching Himalayas, and follow the surging Yarlung River valley back to Shigatse. Then visit Rongbuk Monastery, the highest-altitude monastery in the world, and feel the most sincere and devout faith here. With reluctance, bid farewell under the escorting gaze of the magnificent Himalayas all the way, and return to Shigatse. Tip: For morning sunrise at Everest, the area near Rongbuk Monastery is the best shooting location; getting up early will reward you with unexpected beauty.

Shigatse - Tashilhunpo Monastery - Tibetan Folk Village - Lhasa
After breakfast, travel by car to visit [Tashilhunpo Monastery], the seat of successive Panchen Lamas. In the monastery, purple smoke rises from incense burners, offering lamps flicker, and the Buddhas have different dignified appearances. In the main hall, monks chant scriptures in orderly fashion; before the Buddha statues, believers prostrate themselves in worship. For more than five hundred years, it has attracted many Buddhist believers and visitors from home and abroad to worship and view. The monastery enshrines the world's largest indoor bronze seated Buddha statue, the Maitreya Buddha, built in 1914 under the supervision of the Ninth Panchen Lama Qoigyi Nyima, and preserves precious Buddhist scriptures written in gold powder such as the Kangyur and Tengyur. Afterwards, go to a Tibetan village to participate in a folk village activity with the unique characteristics of Tibetan compatriots, experience Tibetan culture, and then return to Lhasa along the Yarlung River Valley via the China-Nepal Highway.
