Arrive in Jinan: Baotu Spring + Daming Lake
Welcome to Jinan, the capital city of Shandong. Our driver will greet you at the airport/railway station exit and escort you to the hotel for check-in. After a short rest, you will begin a wonderful half-day tour of Jinan, the City of Springs. First, head to Baotu Spring. [Baotu Spring] is the first of the "Seventy-Two Famous Springs of Jinan" and was imperially titled "Number One Spring Under Heaven" by Emperor Qianlong. Entering from the south gate, you are greeted by the stone tablet inscribed with "Baotu Spring" by Qianlong himself. Stepping into the garden, the spectacular sight of three spring mouths surging endlessly immediately comes into view: clear spring water gushes up from the bottom of the pool, with water columns reaching several feet high, flowing without cease for thousands of years. You can stroll in the Guanlan Pavilion and closely observe the wonder of "the spring source surging upward, the water gushing like a wheel." In addition, the garden is also dotted with famous springs such as Golden Thread Spring (with golden threads shimmering on the water surface) and Shuyu Spring (legend says Li Qingzhao once dressed before the spring), as well as the Li Qingzhao Memorial Hall built to commemorate the Song Dynasty female poet. You may set aside some extra time to fully enjoy the poetic and picturesque scene of small bridges, flowing water, and classical gardens complementing one another. Then, take about a 13-minute drive to Daming Lake, which is as famous as Baotu Spring. [Daming Lake] is a natural lake, like an emerald set in a bustling city, and is known as the "Pearl of the City of Springs." You can stroll along the lake, watch the weeping willows brush the waves, and admire the ink charm of Du Fu's poems in Lixia Pavilion; if it is summer, lotuses sway gracefully across the lake, and you can even take a boat through them, experiencing the mood of "lotuses on four sides and willows on three, a city's mountain scenery and half a lake." This place has gained a touch of romance because of the classic line from "My Fair Princess," "Xia Yuhe by Daming Lake." Occasionally seeing tourists imitate scenes from the show for photos is also quite amusing. After the tour, you will be taken back to your hotel in Jinan for rest.

Jinan to Qufu Day Tour: Temple of Confucius + Kong Family Mansion + Cemetery of Confucius
Today, you will embark on a wonderful day of Qufu Confucius cultural exploration, visiting the Temple of Confucius, the Cemetery of Confucius, and the Kong Family Mansion—the "Three Confucius Sites"—to gain a deep understanding of the profound Chinese Confucian culture. It is worth noting that the Temple of Confucius, the Cemetery of Confucius, and the Kong Family Mansion were inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1994. First, begin your tour at the Temple of Confucius. The Temple of Confucius was first built in 478 BC and is the "ancestor of Confucian temples in East Asia." Together with the Forbidden City in Beijing and the Chengde Mountain Resort, it is known as one of the "Three Great Ancient Architectural Complexes of China." Throughout history, 12 emperors held sacrificial ceremonies here, including Emperor Gaozu of Han, Emperor Xuanzong of Tang, Emperor Kangxi, and Emperor Qianlong. You should focus on visiting the Dacheng Hall. The 10 deep-relief coiled dragon stone columns in front of the hall, with clearly defined dragon scales and exquisite craftsmanship, are royal artworks that even the Forbidden City cannot match—truly worth a close look. The nearby Apricot Platform is also a must-visit; this is where Confucius lectured and is one of the landmark structures of the Temple of Confucius. Note: Around Confucius's birthday (September 28), a grand International Confucius Cultural Festival is usually held. The exact dates are slightly adjusted each year, so please refer to the latest announcement. Next, proceed to the Kong Family Mansion on the east side of the Temple of Confucius. The Kong Family Mansion was the residence and office of Confucius's direct descendants, known as "The First Family Under Heaven." Its architecture is grand in scale, with nine courtyards and hundreds of rooms, and it preserves a large number of precious cultural relics. You can stroll through the ancient buildings such as the Grand Hall, Second Hall, Third Hall, Inner Residence, and Rear Hall, learning about the hierarchy and etiquette of ancient aristocratic families. Another 1,500 meters ahead is the Cemetery of Confucius. The Cemetery of Confucius is the exclusive burial ground of Confucius and his family, and it is the largest and longest-continuing family cemetery in the world, still in use today. It is known as "The First Cemetery Under Heaven." Here, you can learn about traditional Chinese burial systems, the history of the Confucius family, and Confucian thought and culture. After the tour, you will be taken to your hotel in Qufu to rest.

Qufu Confucius Culture Day Tour: Confucius Museum + Nishan Sacred Land
The first stop of today's itinerary is [Confucius Museum], China's only national-level Confucius-themed museum. Through multimedia exhibits, you can gain an in-depth understanding of Confucius's life and his Confucian thought and culture. Highlights include the "Confucius Family Genealogy" (Ming Dynasty silk manuscript, inscribed on the Memory of the World Register), the Warring States Yellow Jade Horse (a National Grade-One Cultural Relic and a representative jade carving ornament of the Warring States period), and the Shang and Zhou Ten Offerings (bronze ritual vessels bestowed by Emperor Qianlong to the Temple of Confucius), among other precious artifacts. Afterwards, take a 30-minute drive to the Confucius cultural tourism destination—[Nishan Sacred Land]. Here stands the world's tallest and largest Confucius statue at 72 meters, symbolizing Confucius's 72 most outstanding disciples. You can admire its grandeur up close. The magnificent building nestled against the mountain within the scenic area—the Great Learning Hall—is an excellent place to learn about Confucius's Confucian thought. It contains an introduction to Confucius's life, and you can also appreciate modern antique architectural art and exquisite caisson wood carvings, as well as experience traditional Chinese ritual and music culture. At Nishan Academy, you can experience calligraphy, writing classic Confucian phrases, and feel the charm of Confucian culture through writing. In addition, in the interactive experience area, you can deeply experience Confucian rituals, ancient musical instrument performances, archery, and even drive ancient war chariots, immersing yourself in the life of Confucius's disciples. Optional experience: "Golden Sound and Jade Vibration" live performance This is a large-scale indoor stage play planned by Zhang Yimou's team, artistically interpreting Confucius's life through the theme of "Ritual and Music Ode," integrating dance, instrumental music, chanting, and other forms, with stunning visual impact! After the tour, you will be transferred to your hotel in Qufu for rest.

Qufu to Mount Tai Hiking Day Tour: Zhongtian Gate + Nantian Gate + Jade Emperor Peak
After breakfast, you will head to Mount Tai (elevation about 1,545 meters) to start an exciting hiking trip. [Mount Tai] became China's first UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage Site in 1987. Because it is located in the east (where the sun rises) and due to the tradition of Chinese emperors performing the Fengshan sacrifices, it is honored as "the first of China's Five Great Mountains." Historically, 72 recorded emperors offered sacrifices at Mount Tai, among whom 13 held the Fengshan Grand Ceremony (such as Qin Shi Huang, Emperor Wu of Han, Emperor Xuanzong of Tang, etc.). Hiking time: 4-5 hours (including sightseeing bus and cable car) Tour route: Tianwaicun Visitor Center → sightseeing bus (about 20 minutes) → Zhongtianmen (starting point of the hike, elevation about 847 meters, with distant views of layered peaks) → Eighteen Bends (Mount Tai's famous steep staircase, the necessary route for ancient emperors' Fengshan ceremonial processions, 0.8 kilometers long, 400 meters vertical height, with 1,633 steps in total, and stone inscriptions from successive dynasties visible along the way) → Nantianmen (elevation about 1,460 meters, the gateway to the summit, anciently called "Tianmenguan." You can stand in the gateway and look down at the Eighteen Bends like a heavenly ladder hanging down, and Confucius's feeling that "climbing Mount Tai makes the world seem small" arises spontaneously) → Yuhuangding (the highest peak of Mount Tai, elevation about 1,545 meters, where you can check in at the background image of the 5-yuan RMB note - the "Five Great Mountains Supreme" stone inscription, and the Jade Emperor Temple summit stone) → Nantianmen → cable car → sightseeing bus → Tianwaicun Visitor Center → return to hotel PS: Zhongtianmen → Nantianmen is the essence of the Mount Tai hike. Practical Tips 1. Clothing advice: Even in summer, the temperature at the summit is relatively low. It is recommended to bring a light windproof jacket or a thin down jacket, and you can also prepare gloves and a hat. 2. Energy supply: Hiking consumes a lot of energy. It is recommended to carry high-energy snacks such as chocolate, or buy drinking water, cucumbers, fruit, etc. along the way to replenish your strength. 3. Climbing technique: The steps of the Eighteen Bends are steep (70-80 degrees). It is recommended to walk in a zigzag pattern to save energy. Optional activity (advance reservation required): You can visit the Taishan Shadow Puppetry Intangible Cultural Heritage Theater, enjoy a wonderful shadow puppetry performance, and under the guidance of an inheritor, make a simple shadow puppet by hand and try operating it. Tai'an to Qingdao Day Tour: Zhanqiao Pier + Former German Governor's Residence + Xiaoyushan + St. Michael's Cathedral + Dabaodao
After breakfast, you will take a high-speed train from Tai'an to Qingdao (about 3.5 hours), beginning a journey through time in Qingdao. First, visit Qingdao's landmark - [Zhanqiao Pier]. This century-old corridor stretching 440 meters into the sea is like Qingdao's arm reaching out to the Yellow Sea. Strolling on the pier, the sea breeze gently brushes your clothes, and the waves play a natural rhythm beneath your feet, offering magnificent sea views. At the end is the Huilan Pavilion, its glazed tiles shimmering above the blue waves. Looking back at the old town from here, the classic scene of "red tiles, green trees, blue sea, and azure sky" unfolds before your eyes. (Tip: If you visit between November and April, flocks of seagulls will dance alongside you, making it a perfect photo opportunity.) Next, you will visit the [Former Site Museum of the German Governor's House in Qingdao]. This stone castle, first built in 1905, has witnessed a century of Qingdao's history. Its architecture perfectly blends German Jugendstil with Oriental elements. Inside, the light cast through the colored glass dome and the safe hidden behind carvings will bring you in touch with the power aesthetics of the Far East in the early 20th century. In the afternoon, you will visit Qingdao's must-see classical garden - [Xiaoyushan Park]. This is the perfect spot to enjoy Qingdao's coastal scenery and German-style architecture. You can stroll up the hill and reach the Lanchao Pavilion at the summit, where you can enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view of the classic landscape of "red tiles, green trees, blue sea, and azure sky." Afterwards, you will visit Qingdao's landmark - [Catholic Church] (St. Michael's Cathedral). This century-old church blends Gothic and Romanesque styles. Its interior stained-glass windows and dome murals are especially stunning, and the yellow granite walls are warm and solemn in the sunlight, making for absolutely beautiful photos. After enjoying the scenery, you will walk into the [Dabaodao Cultural District] to experience authentic old Qingdao life and take stunning travel photos. This is the birthplace of the courtyard-style lilong culture, blending historic buildings with modern commerce. You can stroll the streets, browse independent designer shops, feel the flow of creativity in art galleries, or sit in an old courtyard filled with the aroma of coffee and listen to a live performance by a local band. As night falls, find a small restaurant to taste delicious Qingdao cuisine, paired with a freshly brewed Qingdao beer - especially delightful. After the tour, you will be transferred to your hotel in Qingdao for rest.

Depart from Qingdao: Tsingtao Beer Museum + Badaguan + No. 2 Bathing Beach
After breakfast, enjoy your last moments in Qingdao, immersing yourself in the city's beer culture and coastal charm. Your first stop is the Tsingtao Beer Museum. This is both a temple of century-old brewing craftsmanship and a paradise for beer lovers. Walking into this old German-style factory building, you will experience the legendary journey of Tsingtao Beer from its birth in 1903 to the present. Moving between weathered copper kettles and gleaming modern production lines, witness how a grain of malt undergoes saccharification, fermentation, and the sedimentation of time to transform into amber nectar. The most anticipated moment is receiving a glass of fresh, unfiltered original beer straight from the production line, savoring the richest Tsingtao flavor. Next, stroll to the Badaguan Scenic Area, known as the "Exhibition of World Architecture." Here you can admire a variety of European-style villas, each building a frozen piece of history, quietly telling stories of East-West cultural exchange under the caress of red-tiled roofs, green trees, and sea breezes. Among them, the fairytale castle-like Princess House and the mysterious Huashi Lou (Stone House) built of granite and pebbles are well worth visiting. Finally, arrive at the tranquil Qingdao No. 2 Bathing Beach on the south side of Badaguan. There is no city noise here, only soft sand, clear seawater, and gentle waves. You can take a leisurely stroll, or simply lie on the beach, enjoying the embrace of sunshine and sea breeze, capturing with your camera the poetic scene of reefs, waves, and distant classical architecture. After the tour, our driver will take you to the airport or railway station for your next destination.
